I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Environment and Climate Change Canada (North York, ON) in Dec 2024
Interview
Very easy imo. Starts off with basic behavioral questions, then Object Oriented Programming, then object oriented design/design patterns. They also asked me about cron jobs as well, but at that time I had no idea what that was. However, that topic was still in the list of candidate requirements that was given to all applicants in the job description itself, so make sure to study the list of requirements.

Interview
It was super engaging, the interviewers were writing my responses as i said them. There were 2 interviewers and they both seemed very sweet. It was quite fast paced, and the interview involved a total of around 8 questions. the first few questions were just asking to introduce myself, talk about my resume and more, but there were 3 short form technical questions too (1 lc easy, 1 SQL query and 1 high level cloud question)

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Environment and Climate Change Canada
Interview
It was an in-person interview: 1 1-hour verbal interview, and the next hour I was given a physical package with questions about Java, JavaScript, SQL, Git commands, etc. In-depth coding knowledge is not required; you need to be able to write basic code and identify errors. The verbal interview covered problem-solving, questions, OOP questions, design patterns, and basic general interview questions.
