I didn't get a response back until about 3 months after applying to the job. A member of the design team reached out to me expressing his interest in my skill and asked if I was still interested in interviewing. I said yes and talked to him over video call a week later in an introductory interview. He was very pleasant to talk to, the conversation seemed to be going well albeit a bit short and he seemed interested in talking about the next steps. He also recommended I apply to their pool of freelance animators while they reviewed. I waited to get an email back on whether or not I'd be selected for a second interview and received no response, not even an automated reply or response to my follow-up email I sent a week later. I never heard back about my freelance application either. While I understand there are a lot of factors when it comes to hiring animators for certain projects, it felt very strange to seek me out months after I submitted my application, have what I thought was a positive interview, and then completely ghost me again.
