incredibly unremarkable, the interviewer really seemed to be reading off a script for most of it and was clearly not pleased to be doing an interview. The questions were unremarkable and she seemed to want to make clear that the position was purely operational.
3 rounds, straightforward. Hiring manager, recruiting screen, and final round with 3 interviews with cross functional partners. All behavioral questins trying to gauge interest. Quick turn around and clear communication of expectations
I applied online. I interviewed at EquityZen (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview consisted of several phone screens and an in-office interview. The recruiter was extremely warm and friendly. She took the time to answer all of my questions and was pretty transparent about the company. The pay ballpark they provided is on the lower side given expectations of longer hours. It was hard to determine the culture from my brief exchanges but it was more similar to traditional finance companies vs other startups I've interviewed for.
