I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Essential in Feb 2018
Interview
Started with the HR connecting me with the Hiring manager. The Hiring manager was kind and seemed like a knowledgeable, receptive person. Followed by a technical round with another person. The rudest person I have ever interviewed with. At 1st he was 15 mins late for the interview, which was promptly informed to me by the HR. But then he asked me some basic questions on struct and Union which I answered. Before diving in, he asked me another question to which the answer was wrong. Instead of going further and investigating to find out my strengths, the interviewer gets pissed off and bluntly cuts the call. I had a higher expectation from the interview process. But ended up feeling insulted.

Question 1
Questions on the resume and some technical questions on Struct and Union.
HR is nice and responsive. Rude interviewer given unclear coding interview question without input and output. Judge previous work and experience in condescending manner. Total waste of time. Don't recommend

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Essential (Palo Alto, CA) in Feb 2018
Interview
Generic interview process similar to other tech startups. I had 2 phone screens and then 4 onsite interviews. Out of these 6, 4 were based on algorithms and other 2 we're system design and Android programming. They have a really good team of engineers.
