5 INTERVIEWS at their subsidiary Cedar over the course of a month. The first 4 interviews were virtual 1 on 1's and the fifth was in person, with 2 virtual members and two physically present.
Honestly, I knew I wouldn't get the job from the moment I met the team in person. They all seemed awkward around me (except for their CPO) which made me feel unwelcome. Their office attire was casual, which is great, but I wasn't informed and felt over dressed, which also made me feel uncomfortable. As upsetting as it is to put so much effort into something only to be rejected, I feel like I missed a bullet, as these were not my people!
Best interaction: Their CPO, she was warm, welcoming & amazing (you are way too good for this place!!)
Worst interaction: Their CFO, part of the fifth interview was supposed to be "grab coffee with the team". It seemed like he was uncomfortable around me, didn’t ask me a single question or engage me in the slightest. He left after he bought coffee!
I don’t know what it was, I’ve never had an interview where everyone felt so awkward. I guess didn’t fit their straight suburban mold.
