      Product Manager Interview

      Negative experience

      I interviewed at Everly Health

      Interview

A very strange trip indeed... -After applying online, the recruiter accidentally sent all candidates an invite to set up time for a phone screen. I'm sure the recruiters are overworked, and it was around the holidays, so we'll chalk that up as a simple mistake. -During the phone screen, the recruiter was pretty abrupt with questioning. After saying hello, he jumped into "What got you into design?" I was thrown off since this was an interview for a Product Manager. After confirming it was in fact an interview for the PM position, there were rapid fire questions. -A small questionnaire was sent to be reviewed by the hiring manager -Scheduling for a call with the hiring manager was a bit odd. Instead of asking for availability, or choosing from a block of availability, I suddenly received a calendar invite without confirming if I was open. After some back and forth, I was informed calendars fill up quickly, so there wasn't time to go back and forth prior to scheduling. Strange since I could have easily given my schedule for the week and an opening could have been found. -A week after chatting with the hiring manager, I followed up on next steps. I again received a calendar invite without any other context. After again saying I was not open at that time, the recruiter apologized for sending the invite. They had referred to an old email. -A couple of days later, I got the canned email saying I was no longer being considered. I get it, working for a small and growing company is crazy. The recruiting team should realize they are the face of the company for candidates. If the hiring experience has gaps, it leads to questions. If things are so hectic that multiple mistakes are being made, candidates might wonder if there are systemic issues within the company. Coupled with some of the employee reviews on Glassdoor, it potentially raises red flags.

Your thoughts are of great importance to Everlywell, as well as to me personally as the Recruiter for the role. I always strive to do well and improve as often as possible. In reading your comments, it's obvious that you didn't have a great experience, and for that, I do offer my sincerest apologies. It's helpful to hear your input on the way things are perceived on the other end of the phone. My hope is that you will hold Everlywell in high regard. We really are a great company filled with people who care about doing great work. I'll take your feedback and make adjustments to improve that process moving forward.

      Interview

RUN far away from this company. There's a reason they have low ratings.. I wish I hadn't ignored their rating from consumers and employees as a red flag. Cold interviewers who want the moon for average pay, seemingly lack of culture and empathy. They want the candidate to come in knowing everything about their company and role from day 1 vs grooming talent for retention. After a few rounds I heard crickets despite several follow ups. Don't waste your time

      Project Manager Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate

      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Everly Health

      Interview

Recruiter screening followed by hiring manager interview and more steps beyond that, but I withdrew from the process. The job was described as a 'high priority hire,' yet the process was overly prolonged with no feedback unless I asked for updates myself. There was almost three-weeks between the recruiter screening and hiring manager session. I eventually withdrew myself from the candidate pool as the lack of communication was a red-flag for me. I've hired people myself, anyone who has given their time (phone, zoom, in-person) should be given at least some sort of follow-up even if it's 'thanks, but no thanks.'

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Everly Health in Nov 2021

      Interview

First interviewed separately with 6 different people and enjoyed each conversation, as they felt like a conversation and not a stale question and answer session. Then was informed I had made it to the final round which involved completing a Project Prompt. I spent a considerable amount of time and energy on this endeavor and detailed ideas for their business. I presented my slide deck to a panel of 4 people and at the conclusion was told that I would be "hearing from HR". At this point in time I had been speaking with the company for 2 months, so it was a lenghty process. After 2 weeks of not hearing anything from HR, I reached out them directly to inquire. I then received a reply that said I was no longer being considered as a candidate. You can imagine my frustration and disappointment. It is not that difficult to respond back to interviewees in a timely manner, and just mind boggling that this happens. I have landed another job with a company that was responsive and thoughtful and unfortunately Everlywell has lost me as a customer, as per this experience I will not be purchasing their products any longer. Please understand being a job candidate is stressful, exhausting and hard on the soul. Keep that in mind when engaging with applicants.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Build a product strategy and roadmap that engages Everlywell customers in a more profound way by delivering value and being their partner as they navigate their health and wellness journey. The goal is to create product experiences customers will love and want to come back to time and time again and consider Everywell their partner in health.
