This message is being written in the interest of candidates who are under assumption that UK Exports Finance follows a fair hiring procedure.
A panel interview with 3 interviewers.
- Interviewers were 5 minutes late.
- They asked questions which were already addressed earlier in the presentation.
- Interviewers seemed in a hurry from the start and lacked interest in learning about my profile.
- Interview ended in 30 minutes and the invite was for an hour.
Interview was conducted on a different structure from what was given in the job advert. Only 2 values assessed instead of 4.
After the interview the feedback provided was absurd. I was marked '0' on values and questions the interviewers didn't ask about. And the values for which the interviewer praised my answer I was marked 2 and 3.
I am doing an extra effort to write a long response because any candidate applying for roles with UK Export Finance should know that hiring criteria is way different from what is advertised. My feeling is that interviews are being conducted for corporate governance only.
UKEF pretends to hire on merit, experience, values and behaviours but unfortunately they have no means to ensure that interviewers are abiding by the same or recruitment officers follow those values.
Dear candidates, it will be a waste of time to prepare for interview or prepare a 10 minutes presentation for this organisation.
