      Application

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at FE International (New York, NY) in Feb 2024

      Interview

This company is a walking red flag. Below is the process and steps I experienced: I applied in early January, and heard back a few days later. The woman who runs HR ghosted me on the initial call. I followed up asking if she wanted to reschedule, and she had to put the role on hold until she could confirm they were still planning to hire for the role. About 10 days later, she reached out again (with the same exact ATS generic email she sent the first time) to schedule time with me. Our conversation went well. I was advanced to meet with The Head of IB and the internal Operations Leader. They each described the role in very different ways than the initial team member had, and even had separating views of the position themselves. I did find the Head of IB very intelligent and transparent, which I deeply appreciated. After these interviews, I did not hear back for over 2 weeks, then was requested to meet in-person within the next 3 days for interview with the CEO. They knew I had been spending time out of the city, but I arranged plans to meet the CEO in New York. The conversation with the CEO was fine, but very tactical and at times, a little bizarre. He was nice, but again, the focus of the role seemed to be different than described by each of the three prior team members. He wanted the role to focus on overseeing employees swipes into the office to know who showed up at certain times and help facilitate onboarding packages "so employees could have business cards to brag about with their friends at the bar." The most frustrating thing about this process, was the complete lack of respect. After spending time doing 4 interviews and meeting their CEO in-person, they didn't even have the decency to send a generic rejection letter. I've not heard a word from them in 4+ weeks despite following up. Even when I left the last interview, the CEO mentioned he was unaware of the next steps and whether it would make sense for me to meet their Chairman who lives in Miami next. Overall, would recommend staying away. Seems highly disorganized and chaotic. Also, there's some red flags about how they position their business verbally versus what it appears the actual business works across daily.
