Interview
I'm not exactly sure how, but FGI is related to MGA Business Consulting, if you need more testimonials. I applied online, they sent me an email telling me to contact them. I called, scheduling an interview in three days time.
FGI had the entire second floor of an office building rented, but only one or two rooms occupied. I believe they said they had only come into existence in the last few months. I got the feeling that it really didn't matter what time you showed up, they'd see you regardless.
I interviewed with the President of the company who explained that they were hired by DirecTV as face-to-face sales. FGI was one of the newer branches that was set up in the area. The job I was interviewing for was approaching customers at Targets, Walmarts, etc. and attempting to sell subscriptions. He let me know that they would call around 5:00 pm to let me know if I had advanced to the second round of interviews, where he stated that I would be shadowing employees.
To their credit, they did indicate that promotion would be a matter of merit and sales. Considering most of the management seemed to be transplants from Arizona and MGA I had no reason to think otherwise.
