I applied in-person. I interviewed at FM (Chicago, IL) in Mar 2014
Interview
I interviewed with the Chicago office. You begin with a phone interview, 45 minutes or so. If they like you you'll get called in for an all day interview process. This involves 4 interviews with managers and a representative from HR. You answer the typical behavioral questions, but it is a pretty relaxed interview style, in my opinion. You have lunch with someone that works as a Field Engineer at that office and can ask them anything you like. Sometime during the day you will take a personality survey and perform a writing sample. Lastly, you give a short presentation on anything that you want to everyone you interviewed with that day, as well as the head of the Chicago office.

Question 1
Something along the lines of: What is your typical way of dealing with conflict? Give me an example.
The interview process was comprehensive and well-structured, striking an impressive balance between technical proficiency and behavioral fit. While the evaluation was thorough, the managers maintained a friendly and approachable demeanor, creating a transparent environment where they were happy to answer any questions I had.

Interview
The first interview was a 30 min phone call with an HR rep where they asked me some very basic interview questions. The second interview was with several employees who had once worked the same or similar position I was applying for. Mostly behavioral questions, some questions about my resume, and at the end, a writing sample.
