I had an in person interview. They wanted an interview set up the next day, but at the interview said they didn't have the supervisor position for this role set up yet. They wanted to wait to hire my position, until that position was filled. Why did they waste my time and call me? I assumed it was a full time permanent position, but I learned it was a full time contract position. Everyone is on a yearly contract. Then the interviewer told me that if I quit in the first 30 days, I will not be paid for hours worked. I'm 99% sure this is illegal in a right to work state. Then he looks at me after reading my resume and says this is a "standard" term of employment. I've had 6 biotech jobs, so I know this is a lie. They are looking for someone desperate/naive enough to take this job.
