I went into the application with two years of experience with a similar job title at of corporate location of much lower scale. I initially applied on a hiring site. I was contacted within the next few days and invited in for an interview. My initial interview was with the owner's assistant. She was friendly and had my resume/ online application on hand. I was asked to complete a physical application and was asked a few questions, such as, "What would these references say about you if I called them?", "What did you learn from your previous employers?", etc. After the interview was complete I was told I would be called back for a second interview with the chef (who I later learned was the co-owner). I was not contacted again for about a week. It was then that they called, apologized for the delay and asked me in at for a second interview. At this interview I met both of the chef-owners (one at a time), who are a married couple who own the business privately. The first made a real effort to get to know me, on a culinary level, and understand my ambitions and interests. The second asked me many of the same questions that the assistant did at the initial interview. They both asked me if I had any additional questions. Finally, the informed me that I would be contacted within the next three days. I was contacted in the afternoon three days later and offered a position with them.
