      Operations and Administration Assistant Interview

      Apr 21, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Fide Partners (London, England) in Mar 2026

      Interview

Screening call and first stage interview were pretty standard. The second stage interview was in person with a Senior partner, lasted for 1hr 30mins. Had to give a presentation and then answer questions. The type of questions asked and the general attitude of the senior partner was very telling. Interviews work both ways and the mask was already slipping. Questions about loyalty, work gossip, responding to his bad mood and already trying to agree to make a commitment to working outside work hours. Consultants are generally compensated for the long hours with their salary, however a 35-40k assistant job doesn't compensate having to stay late and come in on weekends. If you have any prior commitments outside of work, that are non-negotiable, avoid this company. It definitely seems like a work/life balance isn't encouraged.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent interview process with us. At Fide Partners, we hold our recruitment and interview procedures to the highest professional standards. All stages of our selection process, including our competency and situational questions, are carefully structured to assess candidate alignment with the role, whilst remaining strictly compliant with UK employment legislation. Our interviews aim to understand how candidates navigate professional workplace scenarios, whether real or hypothetical, and existing or hypothetical team dynamics. We are disappointed to hear that the context of these standard questions was misunderstood, as this does not reflect our core values or our commitment to a respectful and supportive working environment. We appreciate the time you invested in preparing your presentation, and we sincerely wish you the best of luck in your future career.
