      QA Automation Engineer Interview

      Interview

Interviewer missed scheduled time with no heads up. I reached out to give additional availabilities and they scheduled outside of the times I gave so I told them I was no longer interested.

      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Fieldwire (Beaumont, CA) in Sep 2024

      Interview

The process was a bit long. However, the recruiters kept in constant communication that gave us reassurance that they were actively working on making this process as smooth as possible. The interviews were clearly explained what each was going to be about and the focus for each. Recruiter was available if we had any questions. Probably one of the best company recruiter we have worked with through an interview process. The employees interviewing me seemed to be prepared with the questions they had prepared for me. They were respectful and easy to communicate to be able to feel comfortable to ask questions.

      QA Automation Engineer Interview

      Nov 24, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Francisco, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Fieldwire (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2022

      Interview

      - 1 hour live coding interview with the engineering manager. - Take Home Challenge - Virtual on-site And several more technical rounds and behavioral interview sessions. The live coding session was pretty fun and I enjoy going through it even though it has nothing to do with the QA role. It was more to test your coding expertise. I didn't get any further after the take home challenge. The challenge was some what vague and didn't have discrete requirements. The asked were to create an e2e test for their app on 3 different flows. Sign up, creating a new project and creating a new task. They didn't really specify what the expectations are so it's up to you on how you want to assert your test. Need to make sure your test is scalable and your assertion has to be explicit. Each test should be independent of each other and each test case needs to have an assertion.
