      Consumer Behaviour Analyst Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Finomena (Bengaluru) in Dec 2016

      Interview

Possibly the most unorganized recruitment process I have come across. Given that it is a startup with few people it is quite appalling that they cannot even promptly respond to calls or emails. First of all, after having applied for a job I got a call from them about a month later , saying they would like to start the recruitment process and so on. After that the HR who was involved never bothered to reply to emails for almost two weeks. Finally he bothered to reply after multiple calls and told me to apply for another role (that wasn't even what I had applied for in the first place) and sent a bunch of questions to answer and email back. He then started absconding again for days with no response. Finally I was able to reach him after multiple calls when he told me that he had quit the firm itself and that someone else would speak to me. So another HR contacted me and told me that we would go ahead with an interview for the role of "CBA". The only good thing here was how courteous this other HR was throughout the process. Both of the face to face rounds went on for almost 45 mins each. The first round went well and the interviewer was quite friendly. For the second round I was told a slightly more senior member of the team would be conducting it. This individual's phone was constantly ringing from the minute he stepped into the room and for some joy his phone alarm also kept going off. He did not even bother to put his phone on silent instead he even answered phone calls when I was actually trying to answer questions. This was extremely disrespectful and shows a lack of interest in the candidate who actually bothered to apply for a role in your firm and it breaks the thought process as well when someone is trying to answer questions. At this point I actually regretted my choice and thought I was better off not getting through here as it showed lack of professionalism and also seemed like they don't appreciate the people investing time in their firm. Nevertheless ,two days later they sent a rather blunt email stating they appreciate my qualifications and that there are other companies hiring and to go join them. AWFUL experience overall. Would not recommend!!!
