I applied to this position on another job board back in November 2018. In late January, I received an email out of the blue to set up a phone interview for the next day. The interviewer was friendly, polite and personable; she seemed genuinely interested in my artistic background and experiences. She asked me to create 2 mock-up samples for social media within the next few days and email them back to her along with a link to my portfolio and a cover letter for the company's partners. She also invited me to email her any questions I had and to be as honest as I could with any concerns. When I went to submit my samples, I did bring up a potential concern, but it was not well received. Instead, the next message I got was a 'Thanks but No Thanks' letter letting me know they would not be moving forward with my application. I found the entire 3-month process highly disappointing -- to have expressed such high regard for my work without seeing it through to the end (getting a face-to-face interview) seemed to have been a waste of time and spoke volumes that questions or concerns that go against their norm are not honestly welcomed.
