      I interviewed at Foodja

      Interview

I should have heeded the Glassdoor reviews before even wasting my time interviewing. The owner/ceo’s disrespectful demeanor referenced in numerous Foodja/The Office Express Glassdoor reviews was readily apparent during the interview. He conducted the interview like a police interrogation, looking for contradictions in my statements and zeroing in on those as a form of intimidation. This included numerous rude interruptions. Many of the questions were not even relevant to the position I applied for, and basically just an interrogation of my career. I came painstakingly close to stopping the interview about three times. I even inquired what the point of one of his inquiries was; my confrontation stumped him accordingly. He was asking prying questions about my current employer and I indicated many of those details are proprietary, but he continued anyway. Those inquiries were possibly to steal proprietary information and intellectual property, a practice referenced in some of the other reviews. Apparently he has no problem bringing this practice to interviews. Based on enough career experiences, anyone who acts like that in an interview will be the same and worse on the job (at that point people are stuck and don’t want to get terminated). After the interview I notified personnel that I was no longer interested in the position. I specifically referenced the owner/ceo’s unprofessional demeanor during the interview, along with the numerous concurring Glassdoor reviews. They routinely dismissed those reviews as exaggerations, but stay tuned. They’re already attempting damage control by changing their name to Foodja, and you can be assured all of the favorable reviews are fake and coerced. More fake reviews will be forthcoming for sure, along with management rebuttals to the factual bad reviews. Hence, I felt compelled to post this one to corroborate my inference of the owner/ceo and his company based on the interview alone.
