As an HR Professional myself I am find myself completely dumbfounded, in addition to insulted, when a fellow HR Rep cannot even take a second to send me a follow up and status update after I've interviewed. I applied for an HRC position in NYC (Fusion's HQ office is based in FL) on LinkedIn. I then sent my application to the recruiter who had posted the role and received an answer within no more than 20 mins asking for my availability to chat. This preliminary phone screen went really well and I was told that the next round would be speaking with the HR Coordinator who worked alongside the Hiring Manager and thus knew what she would want in a hire. This is where it gets completely unprofessional. This HRC had told me that Fusion is her first "real" job, and it shows. Since I am based in NYC and she in FL, we were scheduled to do a FaceTime interview - this was eventually rescheduled 3x, at the last minute or, and this was the actual case, after I emailed the rep annoyed cause I had been waiting outside for 45 mins after telling my current boss that I was going out for a quick coffee(something that shouldn't have taken me 15 mins). Eventually we were able to get on the call and to my knowledge it went well, I was told that my next stop would be to meet with the HM, and I followed up with a TY note immediately after. When I hadn't heard back in over a week, I sent a follow up email letting her of my continued interest in the role and company and that's when she decided to go radio silent. I get it, you found a better candidate, and that's fine. But please, respect me (you already showed that you don't respect my time), by sending a quick rejection email. It's not hard - you can find it on google.
