      Interview

I applied online and had a screening interview with HR. The interview was brief, and I was asked to go over my CV and answer the common 'Tell me about yourself' question. I was also asked where I am originally from, which I found totally irrelevant to the interview. I could tell it was not a good fit. Later, I found out the company has a reputation for layoffs, which was a red flag since the position they are hiring for is a brand new one, raising questions about job security. Unsurprisingly, I received a rejection letter by the end of the week after I followed up on the status of my application.
