      Very uncomfortable and awkward to say the least. The video interviews are recorded for some reason, and it is not well explained why. Asking candidates on the spot for permission to record the call is such an underhanded move. It felt like joining a cult rather than interviewing sane adult people. If you're a serious tech person, don't waste your time on this company.

Despite an average duration of 2 weeks, our hiring process is still considered quite efficient. One of the key reasons for this is our practice of recording interviews. Why do we record interviews? It enables us to ensure the best possible experience for both parties involved. If you successfully pass the initial interview, our founders will review the interview video to assess the team fit. Additionally, the hiring manager, usually the department head, will watch the video to prepare for your second interview. This approach offers a significant advantage for applicants, as it eliminates repetitive questioning. Nonetheless, your feedback has shed light on the importance of clearly communicating this aspect of our process. We appreciate your perspective on the hiring process, as it allows us to further optimize and prevent future misunderstandings. As an immediate improvement, we provide advance notice regarding the possibility of recording interviews in the initial email inviting you to interview. Additionally, it's important to remember that the applicant always has the right to decline the recording of the interview. Please accept our apologies if you felt overwhelmed by the question regarding recording the interview. We truly regret any discomfort it may have caused. “It felt like joining a cult rather than interviewing sane adult people.       I was booked in for the first round cultural fit interview and I felt that was a really nice and unusual way to kick off a multi round interview process instead of just having a cold, raw algorithmic question thrown in your face. The cultural interview went well in my view and the interviewer and I seemed to have a good rapport very quickly established throughout. After going 30 mins over the allocated interview time due to the interviewer and I having a good quality, human conversation the very next day I received an automated email rejection with very little meaning and sense of what exactly I was being rejected for. Finding this unacceptable, I sent them an email demanding some answers but they just rather mechanically reiterated what the automated email had said that it was a mixture of different reasons and they couldn’t disclose the real reason. I’m very disappointed with the attitude of this company and I suggest that you provide some proper feedback to candidates at all stages of the interview process rather than just hiding behind automated emails with no real substance or constructive feedback.

      After the initial interviews, I was asked to complete a take-home coding challenge. However, the challenge was not well-scoped, and the instructions were vague, stating: "Feel free to implement/improve any functionalities that fit your skills and can be used as a good showcase." I dedicated several hours of my personal time to completing the task, only to receive an automated rejection email with no feedback, no explanation for their decision, and no opportunity to discuss my work with their engineering team. This experience felt dismissive of candidates' time and effort. Constructive feedback, even if brief, would have been greatly appreciated and would reflect a more respectful hiring process.
