They started by filtering the candidates with a virtual HackerRank test in programming with a couple of statistics questions. One of the programming questions used a common example dataset so it was trivial. Some of the other programming questions were setup in a weird way. I made it to a phone interview with a recruiter. He came across as quite rude, to the point where I felt like he was doubting my life choices. It was weird. For instance, he asked me why I chose to work at an internship rather than joining a programming club. Despite the weird vibes, I made it to the next round--a zoom interview with someone higher up. He asked some technical questions which I struggled through. Despite the programming in the HackerRank test, these were all mathematical / probability questions plus one with Options. I didn't get invited to interview any further.
