I had a preliminary interview over zoom and shortly after had a second round interview in person. It's hard to put my finger on what it was that just didn't feel like it was a good fit for me. Maybe it was that I got the sense I would be much younger than the other employees, or maybe it was because when I asked about management style, the interviewer kind of fumbled the response. It was cool that the office was filled to the brim with gadgets and people seemed relaxed and in good spirits as they worked. Anyway, reading the room, I think it was so clear, so quickly, that I wouldn't be a good fit but she was still kind and engaged in conversation. By the time I left, I had decided I wouldn't accept a position there even if they wanted to proceed - but they never even got back to me, ha!
