      Director Interview

      Oct 26, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Princeton, NJ
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Genmab (Princeton, NJ) in May 2018

      Interview

One of my worst interview experiences. I was contacted by an in-house recruiter to apply for a position. I applied and then had a phone interview with the Hiring manager followed by F2F interview. For a f2f interview, I was asked to come three times to meet different people who were not present during the first time. I also had to reschedule a phone interview with a Genmab professional living in the Netherlands. The final F2F with the final senior person was rescheduled at the last minute. Everything felt like a delaying tactic. The final interviewer never bothered to read my resume and was not aligned with the other department's goal where I was interviewing for. The senior executive would be core person whom I would have worked with if hired. In the whole interview process, I felt the team was not aligned in what they wanted and where the company wanted to be. Based on my previous work experiences and working in small to medium size companies, I had to wear multiple hats as the companies grew. I thought this will be an advantage, never thought that this will be an hindrance I was given a feedback that I should align to only strength of job at hand, which suggested to me that they didn’t know the growing pains yet. Felt like the company was struggling building its own identity. Based on the interviews, didn’t feel comfortable with work culture as it like the company was struggling with working out the differences in European and US working styles and bureaucracy. After taking three days off to interview there, they didn’t have the professionalism to provide an update of hiring decision. I am happy that I didn’t get hired there and was not inclined to take the job if they offered based on my interviews. I was simultaneously interviewing with multiple companies and was offered a position at a company of my choice which I took happily.

      Interview

Applied online. Recruiter contacted and scheduled interview with hiring manager. After 2 times cancellation they said they are moving forward with other candidates, Very dysfunctional HR. They should have indicated earlier why they are cancelling. Everyone's time is valuable.
