5 rounds!
The application form takes good 30 minutes to complete. A very unique set of questions, great way to check the cultural fit.
Next is a phone interview which lasts roughly for 15 minutes. Basic questions on experience, notice period and last/current CTC.
This was followed by a scenario based assignment.
Another interview with the HR Manager. This round is mostly based on behavorial questions and to check cultural fit as well. This lasted for 45min. The approach adopted by the interviewer is excellent. Not once did I feel uncomfortable during the interview. The questions were nicely framed and he gave me time to complete my answer.
The next round was another set of scenario based assignment that took 4hrs literally. But definitely fun to solve.
The 4th round was an interview with the CTO. While I appreciate the need to assess the candidate on all levels, I don't see why is this round required for an entry level position.
The final round was supposed to be with the CEO which I didn't qualify for.
Overall, though I enjoyed working on the assignment cause it was a way to test my skills, the last interview was a big surprise for me for the following reason:
I was not given a clarity as to what to expect in this round. I was not told if it'll be a video interview or normal phone interview. I was sitting ready thinking it'll be a video call however it wasn't.
It's quite sad to receive an email with a very general feedback after reaching the 4th round! The candidate has shown interest in your organization and they truly deserve a proper feedback. However, I'm grateful to the HR Manager who took out time to give me a detailed feedback upon my request.
To sum it up, 5 rounds for an entry level position is extremely laborious! Also a candidate deserves to know what to expect in an interview. I applied for an HR Executive role and a CTO is taking my interview, which leaves me confused as to what to expect.
