I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GoTo (Boston, MA)
Interview
Awful Communication - Very Unprofessional
HR Screening, f/u communication and lack of transparency from start to finish.
HR rep was late (7 minutes) for a 1/2 hour screening call. After initial questions and very high-level questions (expected), the screener went forward with setting a call with the hiring manager two days from the 1st call.
The GoToMeeting call was set with a VP level representative for an early AM interview. The hiring manager was 12 minutes late for a 30-minute call, used the laptop audio for both mic and speaker (with no headset) in an open workspace so it was very difficult to understand/engage for the remaining 18 minutes of the call.
At the end of the call, I expressed interest in rescheduling for another time to connect and expand on our limited conversation, was told "absolutely" and that this would go through the HR representative. The person was apologetic and I expressed excitement to sync at a better time to discuss the role further.
I sent a 'thank you' email to the HR a couple of hours after, and that I looked forward to the next/rescheduled call. At the end of the week (two days later) I reached back out for feedback/update for the next call. After no response 12 days following the call with the hiring manager, I reached back out to the HR rep.
To date...there has been no communication whatsoever.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Each question was very 'high level' without a lot of depth. I feel this is expected when both screening calls were cut short due to the lateness in arrival for each interaction.
