Interview
After applying online, Zoila reached out to schedule a virtual interview. The interview went well, and she stated that she will be scheduling me for the next interview, which was with the hiring manager and asked I provide my availability. Well, that next communication never came. I emailed a week later asking for an update, and crickets. I followed up once more 2 weeks later, and more crickets.
I then received an email a month or so later saying that they are still interviewing for the role and will be in touch...Really?
A few days later, I receive a generic email saying the position has been filled. Great, good for them.
Fast forward a month or so later, I get a call from an outside recruiter which is screening candidates FOR THIS SAME ROLE. It was not filled, and they outsourced it. I explained my experience to the recruiter and went on my way. One month later, once again another outside recruiter from a different firm presented me with this same role, to which I declined the interview after a brief conversation. Im not quite sure whats going on with Golden Steps and englewood cliffs job postings, but they sure as heck are not actually looking to fill the role. Just waste candidates AND recruiters time.

Question 1
Vanilla generic scripted interview questions from Zoila that came with ivory tower attitude.

Interview
I had a video screening call followed by a video interview with the CEO/COO, and a final in-person meeting. While the initial interview was organized, the subsequent ones seemed unprepared. During my visit, the employees didn't appear very happy, though it might have just been a typical Monday afternoon. However, what really concerned me was the benefits package. You are required to choose between Jewish and secular holidays, have only 9 days of PTO, and the 401K match only starts after 12 months of employment. They tried selling the idea of a great culture and a family-like environment, but in reality, it seems like they don’t promote a healthy work/life balance. In the end they went from finalizing a salary with me to not responding - very unprofessional
