      Interview

AVOID GREENLY I interviewed twice for Greenly. The first process, I was ghosted after the second interview, even though they explicitly said they want to move forward. No reason, no response to my follow-ups, just ghosted. The second time I interviewed is the really messed up one. They asked for a case study after the HR interview, and said "if they liked it, they'll schedule a follow-up". I decided to do it because what the hell, I've done these case studies before and it shouldn't take long, but it turns out that there's quite alot of product knowledge required, so you actually need to do alot of research rather than just rely on situational knowledge and strategy. I do it anyway, but they give me a negative response with the feedback of "this needed more work". Any company that requires you to do a case study, basically unpaid work, with no guaranteed follow-up is honestly not one that's worth your time.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Greenly (France)

      Interview

The process included an initial recruiter screen, a discussion with the hiring manager, and then a detailed case study requiring significant preparation, research, and the creation of a strategic presentation. I was asked to present my recommendations and subsequently share the deck with the company. While everyone I interacted with was professional and respectful, I found the process unusually demanding relative to the stage reached. The exercise itself was manageable, but the overall process was difficult to navigate due to the significant time commitment, unclear evaluation criteria, and repetition between interview stages. After investing substantial time in the case study, I was invited to an onsite meeting where many of the topics discussed had already been covered during the presentation, which made parts of the process feel repetitive and left me questioning the purpose of some stages. I was also surprised by the level of strategic thinking, territory planning, and enterprise GTM work expected during the assessment, which in my view did not align with the compensation package discussed. Candidates should be prepared for a significant investment of time and may benefit from clarifying expectations, evaluation criteria, and case study deliverables before committing heavily to the process.
