I applied on Indeed one evening. The next morning, I have 2 missed FaceTime calls at 6am from Keith Greer. We communicate over text for about a week trying to set up a time for me to go into his firm to interview. Unfortunately, I have COVID and cannot go in.
We finally jump on a Zoom call today. When I mention other offers, he insists I tell him who’s given me an offer so he can give me advice as to whether or not to accept that offer. I told him I don’t feel comfortable disclosing the office names, and this turned into a “there’s no trust and I have to trust who I hire.. open communication.”
After him being upset that I didn’t disclose who had given me an offer, he starts saying that I’m not the “smiley” person that he saw on my CV. He says I portrayed myself one way, but I’m entirely different when on Zoom. Mind you, I am currently recovering from COVID .
I ended up telling him this was not the right fit, and I wish him the best in his search.
Be prepared to answer questions about current offers and to be turned down when you don’t disclose the names of the offices.
