I applied in-person. I interviewed at HUGO BOSS (New York, NY) in Sep 2023
Interview
It was just one interview. Not hard at all just basic behavioral questions and that’s it. You also learn a lot about the stores in nyc. Nothing difficult so there’s no need to stress about it
Overview:
The interview process was professional and focused on customer service skills and brand knowledge. It consisted of a one-on-one interview with the store manager, followed by a role-playing exercise where I had to sell a Hugo Boss jacket.
Interview Questions:
"Tell me about yourself."
"What do you know about Hugo Boss?"
"How do you handle difficult customers?"
The interviewer was interested in understanding my sales approach and how well I aligned with the luxury brand's ethos.
Role-Playing Exercise:
I was asked to sell a Hugo Boss jacket to the interviewer. It was a good test of my product knowledge and communication skills. I received feedback to focus more on customer needs and refining my sales pitch.
Feedback:
The manager was positive but suggested I work on being more assertive in driving the sale. They also recommended I learn more about Hugo Boss’s products and fashion trends.
Overall Experience:
The interview was engaging, and I felt well-prepared. Looking forward to hearing back.
Tips for Candidates:
Know the brand and its products
Focus on customer-first sales
Be confident in role-playing scenarios
Verdict: Positive, awaiting follow-up.
