      Entry Level Environmental Scientist Interview

      Apr 12, 2020
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Richardson, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Halff (Richardson, TX) in Sep 2019

      Interview

A very rushed phone interview, a brief introduction to the hiring managers to begin. There was no description of the company or some of their previous work; it went straight into asking questions. I felt very pressured. I asked a bit about mentorship and got one of the worst responses in "everyone is their own project manager here; we're not here to help each other's projects." I get the impression that they are big on greenhorning and just need bodies to complete work, not necessarily help young scientists become better professionals.
