      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hamilton-Brown

      Interview

There were two stages of the interview process, along with an additional task. The initial stage was conducted by two staff members who were not designers but held managerial roles, although not directly related to the position I applied for. During this stage, we discussed my work and the company. In the next stage, I was given a comprehensive and time-consuming design test that focused on the ability to use design tools, as they required access to the file. This time, the interview was conducted by two designers. However, these designers did not work directly with the position I applied for, which was somewhat confusing. Their disinterest was evident as they frequently looked away from the camera, which came across as impolite. This interaction left me feeling like I was meeting random individuals from various teams who had no direct or managerial connection to this position.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are disappointed to hear that you did not find the interview process more rewarding. We pride ourselves in our thorough and robust recruitment process and for the vast majority of candidates it is a beneficial and enjoyable process. Our recruitment process for Designer candidates usually involves a three stage process – an initial Teams interview where candidates meet one or two members of our team in the comfort of their own environment which minimises commuting costs, allows us to find out more about the candidate’s skills, qualifications, work history and talk through their portfolio and gives an opportunity for the candidate to ask questions about Hamilton-Brown and find out more about our opportunity. The next stage in our process involves the candidate completing a design task which provides more information regarding a candidate’s technical and creative skill levels. The task is a valuable tool in our recruitment process as it helps us to determine the level at which a candidate is currently operating, their potential and also any development areas which we can help to nurture should they join our Agency. A lot of candidates indicate that they enjoy completing our design task and often include their completed files in their Design portfolio. The final stage in our recruitment process usually involves a face-to-face interview at our Studio with two members of our team. We like prospective employees to meet with a few members of our team in order to gain different perspectives on what it is like to work at Hamilton-Brown and also to visit the Studio so they can see the Agency “in action”. It is very important that prospective employees are equipped with all the information they need in order to make an informed decision should they be offered a role at Hamilton-Brown. We view the recruitment of a new member of our team as a collaborative process between the prospective employee and Hamilton-Brown and it is important that it is a match for both sides. Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Hamilton-Brown (London, England) in Mar 2024

      Interview

Got the interview through reference from someone who worked there. First interview with HR person over the phone, very simple and mostly about job description/salary. After I received a short design task, easy and was completed in under 2hrs Finally got an interview with HR director
