Applied through their website and recruiter reached out to me for an initial screening. That went well and I was immediately told that next step would be with Hiring Manager. This was mostly technical for 60 mins and I think it went great. HM was very courteous and we enjoyed the conversation. They were testing problem-solving skills so I think I did pretty good. Next day, recruiter reached out to me to let me know that they would like to move forward with me and meet the team for 4 more rounds of interviews. I sent them my schedule and they sent me the interview itinerary. I replied back with an acknowledgment and saying how excited I was to meet the team and hopefully move forward. Exactly an hour later, I got an email from the recruiter saying the position has been filled and they had to cancel all my scheduled interviews. I do not understand how that might happen. Possibly a communication breakdown on their side but nonetheless it creates a negative experience for the candidates + a ruined day. Handshake seems like a great company to work for as they have a great platform and values definitely I align myself with. Wish them good luck!
