It wasn't the fact that I did not receive an offer for the position, although they made it look like I was in good stance in receiving one. It was due to the fact that I did not get any responses from the sales manager or recruiter post interview. After hearing that I wasn't offered the position, I emailed the recruiter and hiring manager for suggestions or recommendations to follow up with them in the event another position in the department becomes available or if it's possible to keep my application on file. I heard no response back from neither of them. I also sent the Sales Manager an email to his LinkedIn account since I was already networking with him and asked what recommendations I could pursue and if it would make sense to reapply if the position becomes available. No answer again. At that point, I realized that they were going to be of no help whatsoever. I was not asking or begging for the job. I was merely following up for recommendations. Nothing else. It is the principle of having the decency to respond to a general email especially after I I shared my background and experience in full detail. You would think they would have the decency and professionalism to respond to my email. I am happy I did not get the job because this just shows their lack of professionalism and how they treat people.
