    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Harvard Student Agencies (Cambridge, MA).

    Interview

Submitted app and resume online. Managing Director of THS emailed back and set up interview time. It was around finals week, but was super quick--maybe 15 mins or so. Asked some pretty basic questions and why this position, why HSA, other ECs on campus. Heard back in about a week that I got the position.

    Interview Questions

    • Tell me about your marketing experience. What other extracurriculars are you in on campus? Why are you applying to HSA? If you dont get this position are you willing to do another position?   Answer Question

    Core Management Team Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Cambridge, MA
    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ weeks. I interviewed at Harvard Student Agencies (Cambridge, MA) in September 2015.

    Interview

The interview process was the longest, and one of the most selective out of all the business related groups at Harvard. The interview questions weren't hard; but you need to demonstrate that you're a good "fit" for the company. Getting to know the existing management team is key, especially if they are on the recruitment committee (so go to as many of their recruiting events as possible!). I applied before the early application deadline, so I got to have a coffee chat and that was definitely very helpful for me to pitch myself and have someone vouch for me.

    Computer Science Tutor Interview

    Anonymous Employee in Cambridge, MA
    Accepted Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Harvard Student Agencies (Cambridge, MA) in April 2015.

    Interview

It was very informal - just a meeting with a manager. I initiated it with an email. We met a couple of days later in the HSA office, and I was mostly asked questions about why I was interested and about how I would teach. The technical side of the interview was very limited in comparison to the rest, but the whole thing was short.

Very brief: They are curious whether you would be able to commit and work responsibly.
You can get referred by anyone who works there, they are all super friendly to talk to and interview with them. The interview was more of a conversation than an actual serious interview
