Interview
It was an absolute joke to interview for Headout. The first stage was an introductory call with the HR rep who said they are not quite sure if they need a data scientist right now. Then, I had a follow up with the hiring manager who confirmed the same. It felt like they wanted a data scientist to do a data analyst job. After a few weeks' time I received an email saying that they are not progressing to the next stage. There was no reason given for the rejection. The whole process took around 2 months which was absolutely ridiculous.

Interview
I undertook three interviews: screening call, take-home exercise, and a problem-solving interview. I believe that if I had progressed, there would have been one more stage, a culture fit interview with senior leadership.

Question 1
Take-home task focused on analysis of (sanitised) booking data for a specific location, with some motivating business questions (focused on what interventions might help the company achieve its goals).
