Scheduled online through calendar. Not available slots for more than 2 weeks for initial HR interview that took 20 minutes. When I spoke with the rep they said the reason they it took so long is because they have more urgent role to fill, telling me how important the role to the company, not very. Then I asked what the timeline for filling the role was they replied 2-4 months. I asked why so slow they said for the right candidate they might move faster, now telling my how important I personally am to the company. When I asked about the how many people I would support in the role, she was not sure but know that the majority of the company was engineering and there is only one other person in the role currently supporting them. Best case scenario is is a 2:1 ratio but this sound like a 20+:1 ratio and that scared me and made me think how the important the only person currently doing the job must feel this hire is. I am over qualified in most aspects based on the job description requirements, but was still quite interested until this conversation. I finished the call with the feeling I would just be overloaded with work and treated that I offered no value. I can't be sure that is case but what was communicated to me certainly gave me that impression.
