I was invited for a SPM digital role at Hogarth after the recruitment agency sent my details. I reached their office in Piccadilly 20min in advance. 10 min after my actual meeting time they let me know that the hiring manager was in another office 10 min walk away and that I should go there. Arriving to this office I'm informed that the role is dealt in jointure with Wundermann and that the interview will take place at Wundermann based near Camden. On the way I was informed that the interview will be with a certain Osman instead of the two other contacts that I was supposed to meet. I reached the place and Osman arrived 10min later probably from lunch and unapologetic. Not a friendly person. I try to engage in a conversation on the way but Osman let me know we will talk upstairs. Luckily the current SPM was kind enough to make me feel welcomed and apologies for the whole situation. Once in the room I'm asked to discuss my past experience as Osman apparently has never seen my CV before. Then presented the role and informed me that it is 97% email. I said to him that I am here for a SPM position. He was shocked or actually almost pissed off that my previous role was not 97% email. Then he said rudely that I am not what they are looking for, closing his laptop from where he was apparently discovering my CV. I reminded him that they invited me for a SPM role and that there was nothing in the job description that they sent out mentioning anything about emails. But he was already asking his colleague to walk me out. I have never met anyone as rude as Osman in the professional environment. The whole situation and interview was EXTREMELY unprofessional. Prior my meeting, I read some of the interview reviews on Glassdoor and thought it was bad luck but I'm afraid that this is basically a trend. They should respect people taking the time to interview. Interviewing requires preparation, taking time off. There is clearly a lack of communication somewhere and as a candidate I find I find this was unacceptable.

Had an initial interview with an HR person. They didn't even bother to contact me after the interview with a result. Totally unprofessional. If this is the level of professionalism that they show, it's probably not a place I want to work.
