The job was advertised as full-time on Indeed. When I arrived I was told that the chosen candidate wouldn't be paid via W-2, but on 1099. I was also informed that he/she would be expected to work full-time, on-site. (Freelancers/1099 contractors by IRS definition, work in their own location, their own hours, with their own tools.) I chose not to 'warm a chair' all day for their benefit. I'd recommend asking whether the job they're advertising was a real W-2 job or not before agreeing to an interview.
