As they could see from my resume, I have 9yrs of advanced Mechanical Design Engineering Product Development and Testing for Hydrogen Fuels with Gas Turbine Combustion systems. I was frustrated by the interview process, because they could see from my Resume I had little directly relevant experience. Yet allowed me to go through 3 interviews only to tell me in the end, "Sorry, we're looking for someone with more experience." Though I did understand the design principles and new advances in latest & greatest technology in the HVAC (Energy Services) industry. I think they were looking for someone that they could grow into this role, however, my gap was too large for them to see closing successfully while completing a significant Hospital Construction project. The role also crossed over significantly and the Job Description should be more accurate to acknowledge that they were really looking for a Project Engineer.
