I was invited to an in-person interview. It went very well. I was interviewed by 2 people after following an employee around for an hour. I wasn't 10 minutes away after this interview when I got an email that said she was excited to bring me back for a second interview and to send my availability, which I did. This was on a Thursday. By the following Tuesday, I got an automated rejection letter saying they decided to go with another candidate. I reached out to find out why I got invited for a 2nd interview, only to be rejected before I had it, and I was told they went with someone who was 'already in the queue' and had gone through the interview process. Incredibly unprofessional. There are REAL people out here needing jobs. It may be no big deal to you, but it feels terrible to be invited back, only to be rejected beforehand. This isn't a game to us. We're people, not objects. Do better.
