I was ghosted after the initial HR screening. During our conversation, I shared my current salary. The HR representative pointed out that their offer wouldn’t match it and asked if I was okay with that. I responded honestly, explaining that I couldn’t simply say yes or no because I didn’t yet know enough about the role. I said I’d like to learn more about the position and mentioned that I’d be open to a pay cut under certain circumstances. The HR representative promised to send me an overview of their benefits and to schedule a meeting with the next person so I could better understand the role. However, they never followed through.
