I went through 5 interviews. The questions were behaviroal and situational. I met with the team and the VP of HR. They all had thier own questions they wanted to ask me per interview.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Imagine Pediatrics (Houston, TX) in Jun 2026
Interview
I only spoke with the recruiter. The conversation went well and I have more than enough experience engaging with clients/customers for this role since I've worked in retail for 10+ years and have also developed and supervised sales employees for 6+ years. However, once I mentioned that I was taking courses for fullstack development the conversation took a turn and I felt I was put in a box. I was rejected for the possibility to even interview for the role in an email a few days later. When I asked for feedback to better position myself for future opportunities, they explained that they were looking for someone that had more call center experience...

Question 1
What type of experience I have with cold calling or engaging customers over the phone
The process moved quickly but I dont think the recruiter cared to understand my experience nor did I think she had the knowledge herself to understand the experience that was almost overqualified for the role.

Question 1
She asked me how was the work I currently do impactful which considering the organization I’m at, is an ignorant question to ask. Never asked why I wanted to work at Imagine or my interest in the role though.
