I applied through other source. I interviewed at Immigration & Checkpoints Authority in Feb 2026
Interview
Interviewer was easy to chat with. Also shared useful insights based on my queries about the shift hours, career progressions available, and possible locations to be deployed. Some realistic expectations were shared as well.

Question 1
What made you choose ICA over the other uniformed services?

Interview
Friendly interviewers, but a draining process. The role required a pay cut, and the discussion kept circling back to how much less I’d accept — without ever making the case for why. No one sold the purpose: why the role matters or what the team is building toward. I left unconvinced.

Interview
A relatively chill panel of 3 interviewers who were all quite friendly which made the interview feel more like a conversation, allowing me to answer easily. Generally the interview was quite fast, without feeling like it was very intense and stressful.

Interview
Panel of 3 were really nice and asked mostly video assessment questions and questions regarding concerns and challenges. Also asked why ICA over other services, as well as to rank the services that you applied for.
