It started out very promising. I met with Recruiter 1 and then hiring manager, very positive experience from both meetings. I was then given a task and had to present to a panel in a week's time. I poured so much time and effort into it, done a whole week of research, got the deck to a decent place. And I was quite pleased with my work. During this time, I was also informed that Recruiter 1 had handed over my candidate profile to Recruiter 2. I politely responded and said I look forward to working with Recruiter 2. No response. No big deal I thought. Presentation day comes around and for some reason, the Google Meet link was broken. I emailed Recruiter 2. Again, no response. Anyway, I somehow managed to get an alternate meeting link that worked. I presented to two colleagues - one was a junior peer, the other was someone from another department who didn't appear to understand what the partnership team does. It's all fine, not a big deal at all. I did my best and I'm proud of the work I put into my presentation. It is now 4 months after that final presentation and I never got a single communication from the company. I must have sent Recruiter 2 about 8-10 polite emails from start to end but they simply ghosted me. I could see on Linkedin that Recruiter 2 is active and has a working email. I just find this sort of ghosting behaviour extremely unprofessional and do not understand how candidates can be treated with such disrespect.
