The process involved multiple in-person rounds. After an initial delay of over two weeks with no updates and declining the initial hire, they reached out approximately four months later offering me the position as a backup candidate, stating that I had stood out.
Compensation details were never proactively disclosed until the offer was sent. The offer was delivered by a brief, generic email that appeared to be AI-generated which was consistent with most of their communication. The compensation package was significantly below market rates for the role and location, with bare-minimum benefits (meeting only legal requirements) and no company contribution toward dependents or equipment.
Initially, the role was presented as having SDR support for leads. In reality, I would be responsible for 100% of my own cold outreach with no such assistance, unlike previous Area Managers. While the commission structure was promoted as offering substantial upside (approaching or exceeding base salary), available data was only based on reps who had received lead support that is no longer provided.
When I asked for clarification on compensation, expected outreach volume, and submitting a reasonable counteroffer reflecting the increased responsibilities and market data, they didn't contact me again until they finally stated they are withdrawing the offer an moving in another direction.
Based on other reviews, this company is known to be a high-turnover company with little or no support and stability. I believe my experience supports that.
