Interview
Overall a great and very positive experience.
I applied via their website and sent a cover letter and resume. I was contacted after two weeks and then went through multiple steps. The first conversations were via Teams, first without, then with the camera turned on. Later we used Zoom. I was called on my phone for the good news at the end.
The entire process took 5 weeks and was very thorough. I applied for a different position at first, but during our conversations, it turned out that I was an even better fit for a slightly different role. I was asked dozens of questions, spoke to multiple people from recruiting/HR to leads to technical higher-ups, senior developers and a meeting with the entire team. I went through technical exam-style questioning and a hands-on live programming exercise in which I took remote control of a computer and explored a provided project in which I solved different tasks while thinking out loud. These tests felt quite difficult and left me exhausted, but in a great way because it also showed me the InnoGames knows what they need to look for which gave me confidence.
All people involved were extremely friendly, positive and easygoing. I always felt welcomed and respected. Our conversations were usually two-ways and interesting.

I talked to someone from HR through a phone call, and the person I talked to was nice. The call lasted more or less 20 minutes and I got basically asked about my professional experience. I didn't pass to the next stage of the process.
