The interview was a complete waste of my time. As I am currently employed I had to take a day off to interview, plus travel 30 minutes each way. The gentleman saw me right away however he took a few seconds before we started to read my resume because "we see a lot of people and I need to remember who you are" Something that a professional would have done before inviting me in from the waiting room. He then asked if I had a car, and that was quite literally the last real question I was asked. He spent the next 5-7 minutes telling me about the company and the role, something the recruiter had already done twice plus I had read about it as well. He then said the person i'd be working for and "would really need to impress" was out of town and wouldn't be back till next week. The entire thing took less than 10 minutes and could, in fact should have been done in a 5 minute phone call. I wasted an entire day's worth of vacation and was not asked a single question of substance nor was I told anything that I didn't already know since I had prepared the night before. The gentlemen who "interviewed" me was very friendly and polite, but the entire thing was very disrespectful to me in terms of my time and energy. I declined the opportunity for a 2nd interview.
