I applied online. I interviewed at International Social Service (Kowloon City, Kowloon City)
Interview
Upon entering their office in Prince Edward you will see many assylum seekers there. You are escorted inside and asked to take a test. From what I remember the test only tests your typing speed. You will then be asked to write another test in a room. Essay style with a few topics given to you (details forgotten). You will have your cell phone with you so you can do whatever google search necessary. You will then be interviewed by 2 people - both center managers one for Yuen Long location one for Prince Edward. They asked the basic questions - What experiences do you have with dealing with minorities? What is your worst quality? When have you experience a difficult time at work and how did you overcome it?
You will then leave to wait for a second interview by someone even higher up (forgot her title).
This job is actually for a social worker position though they also hire counselors who will do the same thing - pushing papers. You can do additional counselling work in your free time (overtime). They tell you it's high stress and lots of paper work. You will also have to make home visits to the assylum seeker's home.
