I applied in-person. I interviewed at JCPenney in Oct 2019
Interview
It was quick and easy but then the follow up interview was all bad. They misplaced my application. On the day of my orientation I was asked to return home and reapply. I didn't proceed with the job as they didn’t seem to be too concerned about my resume/application and previous interview notes (personal information) going missing.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at JCPenney in Mar 2019
Interview
It was a group interview. During it we were all asked to sale a product or a event. If selling is difficult for you, you will end up as a cashier. After a good sales pitch I was offered to selling positions in furniture and mattress or jewelry.

I applied online. I interviewed at JCPenney (Victorville, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
The interview process was the best I've ever experienced. J C Penney is innovative and different, when it comes to interviewing. It's more of a hands on than just sitting down and answering the interviewer's questions.
