      Software Engineer (Graduate) Interview Interview

      Aug 16, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Oslo
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Jazz Networks (Oslo) in Aug 2019

      Interview

Very unprofessional interview process. They sent me 10 questions mixed in Java and Python. Unlimited time to answer the questions. I read the bad reviews but I gave a shot and spend my time to solve problems in the best way possible. Explain steps, by reduced complexity of time and space. My colleagues saying me this type of interviews is usually not made for hiring people. They never turn you positive and this is not my first time. If it takes more than 2 hours to complete the tests, do not waste your valuable time. Apply for other better opportunities. You will not regret. Their response 1 day after was. " Your answers have now been marked and unfortunately, they have not been regarded as strong enough to invite you on to the next stage. Unfortunately, we do not offer any specific details behind your test results. " Very funny automatic message from the unprofessional hiring process. Please avoid that kind of interviews and take care more about the companies that invite you to their office or conducting skype interviews first.

Hi Anon Thanks for your comments in relation to our tech tests and I am sorry that you didn't feel that our selection process was professional. As our story of conception and our past is explained, for over the last decade, we have created R&D environments built from the top 1% of engineers who use code to solve problems within the world of enterprise software and to date these engineers have proved to be highly successful. To maintain these R&D standards, we do have exceptional expectations and the technical tests are just the start of our screening process, where we seek individuals to demonstrate their abilities to use code to solve these problems. We do appreciate that these tests have proved to be time-consuming and recently we have addressed this by reducing these tests to have a cut off mark of 1 hour without limiting their complexity. Our process will then typically involve 1 video interview and 1 face to face interview in either the Uxbridge or Oslo offices, where you'd meet several engineers, see the product, experience the company culture and really meet the team over typically 5 hours. At no point is our process automated, every CV/application is read, every technical test answer is read but as previously stated, we can not provide the answers to these tests or point out where you went wrong as this has led to these tests being posted on sites like this, which renders them useless. I'm sorry you were unsuccessful but thank you for your interest and time in applying and we wish you all the best with your other ventures.
